20% reduction in HIV incidence among individuals aged 15–49 from 0.5 to 0.4 per 1,000 uninfected population has occurred. TB incidence has decreased from a baseline of 357 to 283 per 100,000 population, reflecting a 20.7% reduction. 283/100,000 TB Incidence

Comment on Target

These improvements suggest that efforts in prevention, testing, treatment, and public health interventions are working well. However, continued acceleration of such efforts is going to be required to achieve the 2030 elimination target for both HIV and TB.
