Target description

As of 2026, there is no evidence of Government-led initiative for Diaspora investment mobilisation. We note that GoSL agencies have collaborated with on Diaspora Investment initiatives led Government ordinary Sierra Leoneans and their networks

Target Baseline

" As of 2023, an Office Diaspora Affairs was based at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the key vehicle for mobilisation of resources from the Sierra Leone Diaspora."

Comment on Target

Although, there is no Government-led initiative in for Diaspora investment mobilisation; the participation of Government officials in few Diaspora investment conferences facilitated by ordinary Sierra Leoneans, show that the interest is there. This interest remains to be turned into real action.
