Comment on Target

Maternal mortality declined by roughly 70% in the last 10 years. A 21% decrease in maternal mortality recorded at the mid-term already surpasses the MTNDP 2026 target of 347 per 100,000 live births. The Ministry is therefore judged to be on track to further reduce the ratio to below 300 per 100,000 live births this 2026.
