There were 3,053 physical and sexual assault cases reported to Rainbow Centres in 2025. In 2025, the Police reported “15,188 cases against women and children”; or 45% of all crimes recorded. “Domestic violence surged to 12, 301” “Rape rose to 78 cases” “Child rape increased to 1, 946 investigated cases”

The 2025 cases suggest that the target of reducing physical and sexual assault cases to 1,000 may not be met during the President’s term of office.
